Hammer Auktionen – Tribal Art Sales

Over the decades, passionate collectors have built significant ensembles with curiosity, dedication, and a love of discovery. Many of these life’s works eventually reach a turning point: collectors reorganize their lives, move, or their heirs prefer to embark on their own journey of discovery rather than take over a completed selection.

This is how exceptional objects repeatedly find their way to Galerie Walu. Over time, the range of offerings became so diverse that auctions proved to be the ideal setting for professionally presenting these works and making them accessible to an international circle of collectors.

This development led to the founding of Hammer Auktionen in 2016, Switzerland’s only auction house specializing in Tribal Art. With an average of two auctions per month, Hammer Auctions is now one of the world’s most active auctioneers for non western art.
